We're looking for some enthusiastic, motivated, diverse mentors from a wide
array of careers and fields for our 3rd annual Mentoring Program, to be held at
Penn during Asian Pacific American Heritage Week (APAHW) on Saturday,
October 27* from 1pm-3pm at Cafe 58 in Irvine Auditorium! Previous events
have been well-attended and well-received by Penn students, and they would
enjoy your presence this year! *Please note that this year's Mentoring
Program is NOT during Homecoming.
The University of Pennsylvania Asian Alumni Network (UPAAN) Mentorship Program
was established to provide opportunities for current undergraduates at the
University of Pennsylvania to interact with Penn alumni, and to learn about
various industries through this interaction.
Anyone can volunteer to mentor, whether you are a graduate student or a
well-seasoned professional. The mentoring program seeks to provide students
with as many post-undergraduate perspectives as possible. Based on last year's
survey, students are very interested in learning about the following fields:
government, non-profit, education, the arts, investment banking, consulting,
law, and engineering. They were also seeking information on finding internships
in these areas, so if you could provide insight into such opportunities please
consider attending as well!
Please let us know if you can volunteer your time and expertise by registering
as a mentor at: http://www.upaan.org/programs/mentoring/register/mentor.
If you have any questions, you may send them to mentoring@upaan.org.
